Using fixed stars in your chart readings

I have long been a fan of Gray Crawford, esoteric astrologer. I do not have the bandwidth at the moment to embrace this series of webinars, but I have been interested in the idea of including fixed stars in the chart for a while:

I will be sharing the first of a series of webinars I will be presenting on how to relate to fixed stars in your astrological practice on Saturday, July 12. On the Oak tier of my Patreon since the beginning of 2023 we have been exploring a different fixed star each month. In these webinars I will be teaching about some of the fixed stars we have already covered in the past on my Patreon.

Integrating fixed stars into your practice will open up new dimensions of chart analysis and storytelling with those you work with. In this webinar you’ll learn about two ways of working with fixed stars: one based upon close conjunctions between natal placements and the projected degree of a fixed star, and another interpreting stars in paran to natal placements, based upon the work of Dr. Bernadette Brady. We’ll begin by exploring various mythic associations, stories and meanings of each fixed star, their meaning and influence within magical traditions, and their influence upon horoscopes within the astrological tradition.

This webinar will focus in depth upon three fixed stars said to have the nature of Venus and Mercury: Fomalhaut in the Southern Fish, Vega in the Lyre, and Deneb Adige in Cygnus the Swan. You will learn how these stars are linked with Venus and Mercury due to their potent eloquence and brilliant cleverness that charms, educates, and delivers practical insight that is always on target. You will discover how Fomalhaut, Vega, and Deneb Adige in particular have a mystical bent, and are extremely creative, otherworldly, and artfully articulate stars of craftiness.

Numerous chart examples will be included demonstrating the influence of Fomalhaut, Vega, and Deneb Adige within the horoscope. The webinar will be recorded, so in case you are not able to be present the recording will be sent to you within a day so that you can watch it at your convenience.
